Server Rules

Adherence to these rules is required for membership in BOTH the Discord server and the Minecraft server. As of August 13th, 2023, access to the Minecraft server is dependent on membership in the “Eddy’s Hangout” Discord server. Since April 7th, 2020, the rules of the Discord server chat forum and Minecraft server itself have been consolidated into this document.

  • Be civil and respectful with other citizens:
    • Don’t pick fights and don’t attack each other, whether it is on Discord or in the in-game chat system.
    • Be respectful with everyone, in case you don’t particularly like someone, just politely ignore confrontation, if necessary
  • Respect people’s properties and don’t intentionally trespass
    • If you know that a particular property belongs to someone and know that it is private, please don’t cause a dispute.
    • If you break this rule, you will be suspended from the server (more info on that below)
  • Do not grief or destroy buildings without the owner’s permission
    •  It is recommend to screenshot the message stating you have permission, in case there is a dispute.
  • Do not post malicious or otherwise risky or sketchy links to the Discord
    • In accordance with Discord’s Terms of Service, you may not intentionally post links to websites that may lead to a sketchy websites, whether in this server or in the in-game chat system.
    • There are naïve citizens on this server, they may not understand or simply are not tech-savvy enough to recognize–please be mindful to them.
  • Do not post pornographic, suggestive, or otherwise gory pictures or that links to such websites. This also applies to profile pictures or banners, if you use an explicit image as one, you will effectively suspended from participating.
    • Once again, please be mindful of our younger citizens, where it is illegal to show or distribute that type of material.
    • Moderators are not going to tolerate the posting of these pics and we assume no responsibility for the actions of our members. However, moderators will bar citizens from participating if they so choose to disobey.
    • Not limited to, but including: porn, yiff, clop, hentai, etc are not allowed, under no circumstances.
  • No use of explicit language is allowed, particularly using text
    • Once again, please consider our younger members, please set a good example to them.
    • Of course, we all are humans at the end of the day, if you accidentally slip up that is not an issue, but don’t make it a frequent occurrence.
  • Do not use the server to spam random links or images
  • Don’t be constantly repeating yourself in an annoying fashion.
    • Whether it be in-game or on this server, please do not just post nonsense, for example into the ⁠general or ⁠off-topic .
  • No speaking about politics, of any kind, outside the Debate Floor category. This applies also to the voice chats.
  • All Minecraft members are now required to provide their Minecraft username in #⁠request-whitelist section in the Discord server. This also means that any members who leave this server will be removed from the Minecraft server whitelist, as membership in this server is now required. This help prevents malicious or disgruntled members from destroying or grieving the server.
